Day 1

First let me start off by saying that I was pretty sure that one of my lungs had collapsed about 15 minutes into my workout, but low and behold, I am still alive and kickin.

Today I tried really hard to make healthy food decisions. I started off the day really well, and slipped a little bit this even, but for the most part I feel like I did okay.

Breakfast: Bowl of Cinamon Apple Oatmeal and a Venti (lowfat!!) Carmel Machiatto with whiped cream. Obviousley regular coffee would have been a better choice....oops.

Lunch: I had a large salad with romaine lettuce, egg, seasame seeds, shredded cheddar cheese and a low fat itialian basalmic somthing or other dressing, a dinner roll and 2 little squares cups of butter.

Snack: I had a handful of mixed nuts and 1/3 of a large hard pretzel.

Dinner: Bowl of Cheerios, 5 pieces of Philadelphi Sushi Roll, Teriaki chicken with white rice and vegetables and a 1 point WW fudgesicle.

Hmm, that seems like a lot.....

Either, way, I wont bore you wil my daily food intake, but for the time being, I think it is important for me to write down how much I eat everyday and perhaps that will give me a little insight as to why I have become a Fatty McButter Pants. :)

So back to the workout....

I was at the gym for about an hour. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and the 30 minutes of free weights, sit ups, etc.

On the treadmill I did 2 min walking (2.2) 5 min running (5.5)....and so on and so forth...to be honest dont remember exactly how many minutes I ran/walked after that point because I was just trying to stay on the treadmill and not fall into a puddle of mush and shoot off the back. Either way, I burned 406 "killa" cal's so I was happy with that.

And now for the best part of my first day of being a "runner" was the purchase of my new running shoes!!

This is what they look like except the Swooshes on mine are blue.

I personally think they are a tad on the ugly side, but they are the most COMFORTABLE shoes I have ever tried on, so after trying on a couple other pairs that were more pleasing to the eye, I chose to go with comfort, and I am looking forward to wearing them to BTF (Bally's Total Fitness) tomorrow!!

The night before the day that changes everything.

Tomorrow I am making a change. A change for the better.

Tomorrow is the day I start running, and not because I have to, because I want to.
